Under the Driver’s Seat

There's something about the space under a driver's seat that seems to attract lost objects. It's a place where sunglasses disappear, coins multiply and pens go to live out the rest of their days.

During a WOF or service, we're often treated to a glimpse of this hidden world. We've discovered enough loose change to buy lunch, shopping lists from months ago, phone chargers tied in knots, the occasional biscuit that has somehow survived far longer than it should have, and even the odd bullet shell.

Don't worry - we're not judging. In fact, we'd much rather find a forgotten muesli bar than a worn brake hose or damaged suspension component.

The truth is, your car tells a story. For some it's muddy gumboots and dog hair. For others it's coffee cups, sports gear and supermarket receipts. It's all part of everyday life.

So if you're feeling embarrassed about what's lurking under your seat, relax. We've seen far worse. And while we're having a chuckle at the treasure hunt beneath your feet, our real focus is making sure everything underneath your car, not your seat, is safe and roadworthy.
